Miguel Cotto had finally signed the contract for the bout against Manny Pacquiao. Miguel Cotto, the WBO Welterweight champ, will face Manny Pacquiao on November 14, 2009 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Manny Pacquiao is the current pound-for-pound king in the boxing world and also won this year’s “Best Fighter” award from ESPN. Pacquiao will get the 65% payment from the fight and Cotto’s camp had agreed the fight to be a title match. Before the final contract was signed, there were reports that Cotto don’t want it to be a title match. And before Cotto, there were also the possibility of a Sugar Shane-Mosley vs. Manny Pacquiao matchup. Miguel Cotto previously won against Mosley while Manny Pacquiao won by a thundrerous knock-out against Hatton. Manny is the first and only Asian to won 6 titles and if he win this upcoming fight against Cotto, he will be the first fighter in history to win 7 titles.
